Prof. Ischinger

We had the great honor of welcoming Professor Wolfgang Ischinger, who spoke on “Challenges for German and European Security Policy in Light of Growing Risks of War and Conflict”. We are deeply grateful for the time he dedicated to our community. His thoughtful analysis, long‑term perspective, and candid reflections on Europe’s strategic landscape provided an exceptional level of insight — the kind that stays with you long after the event ends.

Professor Ischinger is one of Germany’s most distinguished diplomats. Over the course of his career, he served as German Ambassador to the United States and later to the United Kingdom, as well as State Secretary at the Federal Foreign Office. He serves as Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, the world’s leading forum for international security policy, where he continues to shape global strategic debates. In addition, he contributes to academic and policy work as Senior Professor for Security Policy and Diplomatic Practice at the Hertie School and through numerous advisory roles.

A heartfelt thank you to Ana Otterstedde and Deloitte for hosting us and providing the perfect setting for an engaging and thought‑provoking evening.
