John Tullius: The CIA - The evolution of challenges in intelligence collection

Dear Fellow Alumni

We cordially invite you to an Online Event held by John Tullius, a former CIA operative in the Middle East.

Tuesday, March 19
at 7.30 pm CET / 19.30 CET, live stream (registration 7.20 pm/19.20 CET)

"The CIA - The evolution of challenges in intelligence collection"

John lived in the Middle East from 2014-2016 and managed the CIA’s Open Source Enterprise bureau, which conducted intelligence collection activities across the region to track ISIS, monitor the wars in Iraq and Syria, and other high priority issues.  John also lived in Europe from 2010-2014  and managed another OSE bureau that also oversaw regional collection efforts and worked with European leaders to help track the emerging foreign fighter problem.

From 2007-2010, John managed a group of analytic methodologists that used social network analysis, geospatial, and temporal analysis to assist with counter-terrorism efforts.  John also served as the senior nuclear expert working on the top U.S. priority issue for a U.S. mission in Europe (2005-07), and also managed a team of analysts (1997-2005) that covered Chinese proliferation and S&T issues.

Registration required - the Zoom Link will only be sent to registered alumni a couple of days prior to the event.

The event will be held in English. If you’d like John to address specific topics, please submit your questions in writing in advance.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you online!

Kind regards,

Jan Sibbersen BA'00
